Step-by-Step Instructions
- Heat a large stockpot over medium heat. Add ground beef, onions, garlic, and salt. Cook until beef is no longer pink, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain excess grease.
- Add potatoes, beef broth, tomato soup, diced tomatoes, and frozen vegetables to the pot. Mix in sugar, Worcestershire sauce, dried parsley, and basil until well combined.
- Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce to low and simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve hot with buttered bread, garlic toast, or grilled cheese. Optional: top with crushed Town House crackers.
